Alex’s Pet Shop was opened to provide a convenient neighborhood store for purchasing small animals and birds in a clean, safe, and healthy environment. The variety of breeds and types of animals available are well suited for space-limited living environments in the area. The Shop is located at 1415 Summit Avenue in Union City, NJ and is open seven days a week, including holidays. Customers are welcome to visit and explore the options available for their needs. The Shop aims to contribute positively to the pet community.
We work closely with reputable brokers to ensure we have the healthiest pets for your new family member. Many breeders have Canine Care Certifications which go above and beyond USDA standards. We maintain strong ties with our suppliers and veterinarians, ensuring excellence in our Shop.
I personally oversee the care and interaction with all animals in the Shop, ensuring they receive the utmost attention, and information on proper care is shared with customers when they are ready to add a pet to their family. Additionally, we offer a range of pet food and supplies, including specific items for reptiles. Daycare and boarding services can be arranged by appointment.
A Living Room is accessible for you and your family to interact with a potential new pet seeing them in action and observing their personality and temperament prior to taking them home. Information is always available to assist you in getting to know the characteristics and care needs helping ease the transition of your new pet.
